FRIDAY FAB 40+ DAVID BOREANAZ

What is it with some stars that separates them from the others?  What is that je ne se qua that makes us notice them more than others?  And then we follow them to just about any project that they do. When today's choice made his debut on television in the 90s, it was like an earthquake had hit the screen. As soon as he showed up on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a show with an already huge following at the time,  he so stole the show that he got a spinoff appropriately titled Angel. There is no explaining his special appeal, but the broad appeal is obvious for

DAVID BOREANAZ

David Patrick Boreanaz was born May 16, 1969, in Buffalo, New York, but his family moved to Philadelphia, where he attended private schools on the well-to-do Main Line (a suburban chain of communities that stretch west of Philadelphia that hold's the city's fox hunting and horse riding gentry). He attended Ithaca College in New York, from which he graduated in 1991 with a degree in Communications. But as with so many handsome stars, he decided that his degree would be used for falling back rather than focus, and he went into acting instead. And with a face like this who could blame him...

David has what we Americans call, rather crassly, a "shit eating grin." What does that mean? Simply that he has a very wide, sort of self-mocking kooky grin. How that phrase came into being, I have NO idea whatsoever. Nonetheless, it definitely applies to David...

What has he been up to?  It's anyone's guess, but that smile suggests it was a lot of fun and you wish you were with him doing it.

Because he has been at a variety of awards shows and on the TV series Bones, there is a plethora of shots of David looking very dapper in suits....

SUITS ME FINE

To all those classmates who mocked me...SUCK ON THIS!

Even in 1970s drag, he pulls off the look!

"Hello, I am the new student teacher at Hogwarts."

GOING CAZ
But then again, he doesn't need a suit to turn us on...

But is it any secret that he gets better when peeled down just a bit?

ARMS & THE MAN

Oh, surely he can give us better than this!

BROTHER, CAN YOU SPARE A SHIRT?

At 43, David outdoes most men half his age.

Alas, our dear David has no trouble turning up the heat with sexy, funny pics!

He's just beside himself.

Why is there never a dog around to steal a towel when you need one?

Butt...finally...at the end....what we most enjoy is a
hot actor who isn't afraid to use his body in great scenes like these....

No nudity, but chains certainly do add to the effect.

Finally David got his much deserved spinoff Angel.

And then came the mega-success of Bones

A great shirtless scene in the film The Hard Easy

THEN came the piece de resistance, his wonderful
embarrassment nudity in the film These Girls.

Oh, but David has given us other shots of his physical gifts throughout. In his early days, he modeled for this body painting imagery...

And of course there were these lovely bathing shots....

It's hard to believe that he started off looking like this...

And today he looks like this...

A classic case of becoming classic as one ages.

DAVID BOREANAZ:  GOOD BONES

  1. David has a special appeal, from within you might say, and he seems to know how to project that. You actually like him beyond just the package, not necessarily true with every hot performer. That being said, in These Girls, the external is in pretty difficult to deny with those sweet buns--Hard Easy indeed! Very fine Friday pick--thanks Derek!
